My thanks to my  very efficient stewards, and to the exhibitors who took the trouble to enter the show.  In these days of reducing entries at dog shows, I was nervous  that the quality of  entries would  have been down.  I need not have worried,   and despite the usual gripe about close rear movement I was pleased with the standard of the dogs entered.
                     Puppy Dog (3,0)
1 Wolfscastle Meredith (Owen, Mr. K  J and Brodie,   Miss Z L S)
11 month brindle dog, quite mature for age, head quite good, expression a trifle hard, strong  neck, well laid shoulder with correct width in front, well boned and with good feet, proper let down of the pasterns.  Well sprung ribbing, nice topline with good fallaway to well angulated rear with low set hocks and an excellent coat.  Moved OK in profile, rear action a little untidy coming and going.
2 Luckhurst Paisley ( Lewis, Mr. A. & Mrs. V.)
Has an attractive head, strong neck and good body with plenty of spring of rib, nice topline.  Somewhat straight in upper arm and lacking forechest.   Did not have the rear angulation of the winner, and movement was good in profile, but not so good coming and going.
3 Clanardwood Summer Hawk  (Minton,   Mrs G.)
                    Junior Dog (1,1)
                    Postgraduate Dog (4,0)
                      1 Hyndsight Desperado ( Finnett, Miss S. L. & Heathcote, Miss N.)
Good head, dark eyes,  excellent   ears. Powerful neck and a well laid shoulder, with plenty of width in front. Good bone with correct letdown of pastern and good feet, good spring of rib and correct coat.  Moved well with plenty of width coming and going, as did all of the exhibits from this kennel.  Minor points, could do with losing a couple of pounds, and I would prefer a little more leg length, however he meets the standard.  A worthy winner of the CC and BOB.
2 Hyndsight To The Limit with Ladygrove (Phillips, Mr. A. & Mrs. S.)
Litter brother to the winner.  Pleasing head, dark eyes good ears,  good bone, feet, topline and rear assembly. Good front assembly but the class winner had the edge.  Well muscled, in fact I thought he was fitter than the winner. Moved soundly and very well presented and handled.  RCC.
                    3. Greyflax Domino to Jamalison (Grimshaw, Mr. Mr. & Mrs. G.J. & J. A. & Paisey,  Mr. Mr. A.)
                    Limit Dog (5,3)
                      1. Luckhurst Nairn  ( Lewis, Mr. A. & Mrs. V.)
Pleasing head and ears, a little straight in upper arm, well boned, well knuckled feet somewhat upright in pastern. Good topline and spring of rib, well angulated rear, and in hard physical condition. Moved very well  in profile, OK coming and going.
                      2. Greyflax The Jazz Singer   Domino to Jamalison (Grimshaw, Mr. Mr. & Mrs. G.J. & J. A. & Paisey,  Mr. Mr. A.)
Quite a substantial male, good head with a soft expression, well folded ears.  OK lay of shoulder, correct bone, nice feet, slightly upright in pastern, good topline, well bodied and in good coat. Good fallaway to a well angulated rear,  with quite low hocks. A little unsettled today, both standing and on the move, and not giving his best.
                    Open Dog ( 5,2)
                      1. Ch. Regalflight Tarloch (Baumann, Mrs. S.)
Lovely male, very well  constructed, with excellent  shoulder placement and rear angles and low hocks.  Moved well, with correct width at front and rear, but hock movement was slightly unsteady today . Coat rather long. Considered carefully in the challenge, but I preferred the type of the winners.
                      2. Beardswood Ripley For Calbraidh ( Faircloth, Mr. & Mrs. L.)
Substantial grey male,   masculine head, medium brown eye   good ears, well boned, shoulder construction OK, good width in front with good depth of chest and spring of rib. Topline satisfactory,  angulation OK at rear, moved well in profile but a little  close behind.
                    Puppy Bitch (5,1)
1 Clanardwood Shirona (Minton, Mrs. G.)
Pleasing head, dark eye, well folded ears. At a difficult age, topline needs to settle, and her angles front and rear will no doubt improve. Well bone and muscled. Won this class on her movement, which was by far the best in this class..
                      2. Drumilfee Anona at Wolfscastle (Owen, Mr. K  J and Brodie,   Miss Z L S)
Very pretty head on this puppy, dark eyes and good ears. Good neck and well laid shoulder, good coat, well angulated rear, topline a little out at the moment as she is growing.   Rear movement is not good at the moment.
                      3. Wolfscastle Miranda (Gamble Mrs. A.)
                    Junior Bitch (4,0)
1 Beardswood Taisie (Helps, Dr. S.)
Dark bitch, excellent proportions, caught my eye,  and I think one to watch.  Good head and expression, maybe a little hard, although adult coat will change this. Good neck and well laid shoulder with correct width in front , excellent topline   with drooping quarters , good bend of stifle and low hocks. harsh coat. Very sound mover, a little close behind.
                      2. Neroche Jeska (Wragg, Mrs, J.)
I loved the type of this bitch.  Best head and expression, good bone, shoulder well angulated but too wide in front, properly let down pastern and good feet.  Well bodied with a most pleasing profile and has a strong rear. Movement quite good, but not as good as the winner.
                      .3. Neroche Juniper Paisley ( Lewis, Mr. A. & Mrs. V.)
                    Postgraduate Bitch  (6,2)
                      1. Marivon Fallon
Well proportioned 2 year old bitch, very pleasing outline. Well muscled with good bone and with no coarseness. Lovely head, with dark eye and good ears,  excellent front and rear construction.  Very well presented and handled. Moved very well, and I found her difficult to fault. Awarded her the CC, close decision for BOB, however the dog moved with more sparkle in the Challenge.
                      2.  Shagiead Aunt Hetty For Lordswell (Meer, Mr. G. Mrs. V.)
Attractive substantial well balanced grey bitch, shoulder well laid, is well boned with good feet.   Good profile and a good bend of stifle with low hocks. Movement was quite good overall  which earned her the place.
                      3. Marivon Florence (Davis, Mr. M.Y.  & Mrs. Y.)
                    Limit Bitch (8,1)
                      1. Hyndsight Runin Down A Dream) ( Finnett, Miss S. L. & Heathcote, Miss N.)
Another well constructed bitch from this kennel, with good movement, but not quite as good as the CC winner. My eye was drawn to her, pleasing type, good head, eye and ears, strong neck, well laid shoulder with correct width, a correct topline leading into a well angulated rear. Excellent coat, moved well from all angles,  awarded the  RCC, but a close decision.
                      2. Charbonnel Gobi to Ladygrove  (Phillips, Mr. A. & Mrs. S.)
Another quality bitch   of good type, worth a long look. Lovely head with well folded ears  a strong neck, excellent topline, well ribbed and good bend of stifle.  Slightly upright in shoulder. In hard physical condition with a good coat, well presented and very well handled.
                      3. Greyflax Teen Spirit (Bailey, Mr.  & Mrs. G. & N.)
                    Open Bitch (4,1)
                      1. Hyndsight a Girl Like You ( Finnett, Miss S. L. & Heathcote, Miss N.)
Very nice bitch.  Atttractive head,  dark eye and well folded ears, good shoulder construction and , well bodied with  a correct topline and well angulated rear. Slightly upright in pastern and would prefer her a little longer.  Moved well , but not quite so together on the move as the CC and RCC winners.
                      2.  Ch. Greyflax Summer Breeze (Bailey, Mr.  & Mrs. G. & N.)
Longer cast bitch, very attractive head and expression well folded ears.  Well bodied and  quite elegant, a little straight in upper arm, well angulated rear. Moved soundly
                      3. Beardswood Quintessence (Helps Dr. S.)

                      M. J. Peach
